Abstract

The title of this thesis is the self-concept profile of students in class XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the academic year 2021/2022 and its implications for the personal social guidance program. Problem formulation: 1) what is the self-concept profile of students in class XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the academic year 2021/2022? and 2) what are the implications of the self-concept profile of students in class XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the academic year 2021/2022 for the personal social guidance program?. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the self-concept profile of students in class XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 4 Kupang in the academic year 2021/2022, and 2) the implications of the self-concept profile of students in class XI IPS1 at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the academic year 2021/2022 for personal guidance programs. social. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is central trend analysis. The results of the calculation are known that ix = 166, SB = 8,783, and GBX = 1,463, when compared with the normal distribution table for z prices at a significance level of 5%. From the calculation, it is obtained that a minimum = 163 and a maximum of 169. The average self-concept score of class XI IPS1 students at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang is:(163+169)/2 = 166. Based on the above calculations, the average self-concept of students in class XI IPS1 of SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the academic year 2021/2022 is 166, with a score of 136-172. Referring to the standard criteria, the self concept of students in class XI IPS1 SMA Negeri 4 Kupang for the academic year 2021/2022 is included in the medium category. For this reason, it can be interpreted that a class XI IPS1 student at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang has a picture of himself in his relationship with other people obtained from events throughout his life, as a result of feedback to the individual. However, there are still items that are classified as low, so they need to be improved. Therefore, the researcher recommends BK teachers at SMA Negeri 4 Kupang in the form of suggestions for topics of personal social guidance, to help improve students' self-concept. Based on the results of the study, the researchers gave suggestions to: 1) Principals, should increase their roles as leaders and coordinators so that they can coordinate all school personnel so that they jointly assist students in improving their self-concepts, 2) Guidance and Counseling Teachers, are expected to increase cooperation with all subject teachers to jointly help and encourage students to be able to maintain and improve their self-concept and 3) Students are expected to be actively involved in participating in personal social guidance activities by conveying the problems they are experiencing so that they can improve their self-concept which is owned.
