Abstract

The approach is one of the skills learning approach that aims to develop a number of physical and mental progress as a basis for developing progress higher than self-learners. The main problem in this research is how the results of the application of process skills approach in teaching students in class XI IPA 2 SMAN 7 Kupang subject matter elasticity and simple harmonic motion in the Academic Year 2013/2014? In detail the problems in this study were: 1) How does a teacher's ability to manage learning activities with process skills approach? 2) How completeness Learning Outcome Indicators (IHB) learners in learning the material elasticity and simple harmonic motion with process skills approach?3) How does the study of students in the learning process skills approach? 4) How do students respond to learning activities with process skills approach? The purpose of this study is to describe the results of application of the skills approach in teaching students in class XI IPA 2 SMAN 7 Kupang Topic elasticity and simple harmonic motion in the Academic Year 2013/2014. "In detail the objectives of this study were 1) to describe the teacher's ability to manage learning activities with process skills approach.2) Describe the Learning Outcome Indicators mastery learning approach by applying process skills. 3) Mendeskrispsikan learning outcomes of students in the learning process by implementing a skills approach. 4) Describe the student's response to the learning activities by applying the skills approach. This type of research is descriptive and subject of this study is the teacher (researcher) and a class XI student of SMAN 7 Kupang IPA2 school year 2013/2014, amounting to 28 people. While the instruments used in this study is the observation sheet by applying the Learning Management process skills approach to the material elasticity and simple harmonic motion, achievement test (product, process, affective and psychomotor) and form response learners. Engineering analysis of the results of the study is a quantitative descriptive analysis includes calculation of average scores, percentages, and proportions. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, research data that generally is a good process skills approach to the subject matter of elasticity and simple harmonic motion to the learners class XI Science SMAN 7 Kupang 2 totaling 28 learners. The ability of the teacher to manage learning activities with process skills approach that includes: planning the learning, planning, evaluation and implementation of learning is learning with both categories. Indicators of learning outcomes (product, process, affective and psychomotor) are all thoroughly prepared for completeness proportion exceeds 0.75 minimum completeness criteria. 3). Student learning outcomes (product, process, affective and psychomotor) were prepared everything thoroughly. The response of students to the implementation of learning activities undertaken by teachers with very good category, the category's core activity is very good, the activities cover the excellent category, with the category of time management is very good and the atmosphere of the class with a very good category. so the average total score obtained from the fifth aspect is the excellent category.
