Abstract

Most students today regard the learning of mathematics as a difficult subject . This is due to the mathematical material that needs a lot of understanding and implementation , time constraints in the process teaching to make the students difficulty digesting the material with the completion of the abbreviated steps teachers to pursue teaching materials and save time. Coupled with the ability of students' comprehension of the material is different, this condition results in students learning to interpret the less. So to overcome the problems in supporting the teaching and learning activities of students needed a web -based learning system by using the concept of web 2.0. Web-based math learning system is created using software development PHP programming language. PHP programming language became one of the alternatives that is used in web programming to create dynamic pages in accordance with the concepts involved. The method used in this study is the waterfall method that starts from a system level and continues on the analysis , design , coding , and testing . The steps in designing a system that includes the analysis of the system in general and in detail by using the tools and systems flowchart Entity Relational Diagram ( ERD ), as well as create the look and design of database design using MySQL. The results of making a web based math learning system gives shape and material review exercises junior high school math, as well as to increase the students' understanding of mathematics courses for the advancement of mathematics learning system SMPK Giovanni Kupang.
