Abstract

Passenger car equivalence (EMP) is a conversion factor to equalize various types of vehicles operating on a road segment into one type of vehicle, namely passenger cars. The 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) has established motorcycle EMP values for urban arterial roads. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on one-way urban arterial roads to determine whether there is a difference in the value of the research EMP and MKJI EMP and to determine the magnitude of the impact of the different motorcycle EMP values on the degree of saturation and the level of service with differences in road width using the speed method. The results of the study concluded: The EMP value for a motorbike for location 1 A Jl.Frans Seda A = 0.4 > 0.25 which was determined by MKJI, and the EMP value for a motorbike for location 1 B Jl.Frans Seda B = 0.4 = 0 ,4 determined by MKJI, and for location 2 Jl. Gunung Mutis = 0.4 = 0.4 determined by MKJI, while for location 3 Jl. Siliwangi = 0.5 > 0.4 determined by MKJI. DS and Los values for location 1 A Jl.Frans Seda A = 0.25, DS and Los values for location 1 B Jl.Frans Seda B = 0.20, DS and Los values for location 2 Jl. Gunung Mutis = 0.25, while the DS and Los values for location 3 Jl. Siliwangi = 0.26.
