Abstract

the relationship between confidence and interpersonal communication of Students of Class XI IPA Of Flobamorata Kupang Sports Talent School year 2021/2022. A common problem of this study is whether there is a significant relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication of students of class XI IPA Of Flobamorata Kupang Sports Community High School 2021/2022? The specific problem of this study is: is there a significant relationship between the sub-variables of self-confidence (confidence in self-ability, Optimist, objective, responsible, rational and realistic) with the interpersonal communication of students of grade XI of The Flobamorata Kupang State High School in the 2021/2022 school year? The general purpose of this study is to find out the significant relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication of students of class XI IPA Of Flobamorata Kupang Sports Community High School 2021/2022. The specific purpose of this study was to find out the significant relationship between the sub- variables of self-confidence (confidence in self-ability, optimist, objective, responsible, rational and realistic) with the interpersonal communication of students of grade XI of the Flobamorata Kupang State High School in the 2021/2022 school year. The variables in this study were the free variable (X) of self-confidence and the bound variable (Y) of interpersonal communication. The population in this study was all students of class XI IPA of Flobamorata Kupang State High School. The sample in this study was a student of class XI IPA of Flobamorata Kupang Sports Association State High School in the 2021/2022 school year which amounted to 23 people. Research data collection techniques are written interviews. Data collection tool used angket. Data analysis technique uses product moment correlation analysis with a confidence level of 5% with db = N-2 = 21. The results of this study showed that in general there is a significant relationship between self-confidence and interpersonal communication of students of class XI IPA of Flobamorata Kupang Sports Community High School in the 2021/2022 school year. This is evidenced by the results of the calculation of product moment correlation, namely rhitung>rtabel (0.545> 0.433) at a confidence level of 5% with db = N-2 = 21. The results of the data analysis can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between confidence and interpersonal communication of students of class XI IPA Of Flobamorata Kupang Sports Blessings School year 2021/2022. Based on the results of the study, researchers provided advice to: a) the principal is expected to build cooperation with all school personnel in improving the confidence and interpersonal communication of school students. b) BK teachers are expected to build good cooperation with coconut schools, parents, teachers and other school personnel in building relationships between confidence and good interpersonal communication of students in the school environment. c) Students are expected to be able to increase confidence in order to actively participate in interpersonal communication.
