Abstract

Problem Formulation 1) What is the Description of the Development of the Human Development Index and Capital Expenditure in Kupang City. 2) Does Capital Expenditure Affect Human Development Index in Kupang City. The objectives of this study are 1) To find out the description of the Human Development Index and Capital Expenditure in Kupang City. 2) To determine the effect of Capital Expenditure on the Human Development Index in Kupang City. This study uses quantitative data, the type of data that can be measured or calculated directly, in the form of information or explanation expressed in numbers or in the form of numbers. Sources of data used in this study is secondary data. Secondary data is research data obtained by researchers indirectly through intermediary media or obtained or recorded by researchers. The analytical technique used to determine the Effect of Nodal Expenditure on the Human Development Index in this study is a simple linear regression analysis technique. The analytical technique in this research will be assisted by Evews 9. Based on the results and discussion of previous studies, it can be concluded that Capital Expenditure has a positive effect on the Human Development Index, and the Human Development Index has a significant effect on Capital Expenditure. The human development index variable has a positive effect on people's welfare with the indicator being capital expenditure. Therefore, the government should further improve the welfare of the community, including by increasing the development or communication network to the regions so that it can improve the welfare of the people of Kupang City.
