Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Application of Symbolic Modeling Techniques through Group Guidance Services to Improve Students Self-Efficacy. The problems in this study are: 1) Why are symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services applied to increase students’ self-efficacy?, 2) What are the procedures for applying symbolic modeling techniques trough group guidance services to increase student self-efficacy?, 3) What are the implementations of symbolic modeling techniques trough services? Is group guidance effective for increasing students’ self-efficacy?. The purpose of this study is to find out 1) The reasons for applying symbolic modeling techniques trough group guidance services to increase student self-efficacy, 2) Procedures for applying symbolic modeling teachniques trough guidance services. Groups to increase student self-efficacy, 3) The effectiveness of the applications of symbolic modeling techniques trough group guidance services to increase students self-efficacy. The study method is in the form of a literature study. The object of he study is symbolic modeling techniques, group guidance services, and self efficacy. Sources of data used are secondary data sources. The type of data in this study is the type of qualitative data. The discussion shows that symbolic modeling techniques trough group guidance services are used to increase students’ self-efficacy because the used of symbolic modeling techniques can help students acquire skills trough modeling behavior that acts as a stimulus for thoughts, attitudes, and behavior to adapt to their environment. Group guidance services to improve students’ self–ethic whit the steps of group guidance services as follows : the formaton stage, the transition stage, the activity stage, and the termination stage. At the stage ofgroup guidance activities. Counselors help students improve self-efficacy using symbolic modeling techniques with the following steps; rational, giving examples, practice exercises, home work, evaluation. Symbolic modeling techniques trough group guidance services are effective in increasing students self-efficacy, supported by articles from the research result of wijaya, et al (2020), indrawasi, et al (2019). a) Improve student self-efficacy through group guidance services with symbolic modeling techniques. b) researchers are expected to be more skilled in applying symbolic modeling techniques through group guidance services to increase students’ self-efficacy.
