Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is the effectof the TreffingereLearning model on the presupposition of students' mathematics learning on the subject of the Class VII Association of Kupang State Junior High School 2018/2019. The sample of this study was students of class VII C who wertaught to use the TreffingerLearning model with 32 students.The type of research used by researchers is pre-experimental research with the design used by one-group desaign pretest-posttest. In this design there is a group that is given a pretest, before treatment (treatment). After beinggiven treatment, posttest will be given.Thus the results of treatment can be known more accurately, because it can compare the results before treatment with the results after treatment.The data used in this study were the pretest and posttest of the sample class. The data obtained were analyzed using the SPSS version 22 program. Before testing the hypothesis, a prerequisite test was carried out using pretest and posttest values to see the distribution of each test. From the results of the analysis of the pretest value data obtained by Asymp. Sig (2-Tailed) = 0.103> 0.05 and D_count = 0.142≤D_table = 0.242 then H0 is accepted which means the data are normal debris. From the results of the posttest value data analysis, the Asymp. Sig value (2-Tailed) = 0.200> 0.05 and D_count = 0.098 <0.242 = D_tabel. Thenaccept H0 which means the data is normally distributed. Furthermore, calculating the difference in the average value of the posttest andpretest to test the hypothesis using a paired sample t-test. After the data is analyzed, the value of Sig (2-Tailed) = 0,000 <0,05 and t_count = 12,104> 2,039 = t_table, then accept Ha and reject H0.The results of this study indicate that the Treffingerlearning model effects student achievement in mathematics learning. Therefore, the authors suggest that teachers use the Treffinger learning model on learning in the classroom according to the material being taught.
