Abstract

The results of the research carried out show that pocket money partially has a significant effect on consumption patterns because the value of t-count > t-table, namely 3.039937 > 1.68 and therefore the error probability value (sig)is0.0043 < 0.05 or close to the level of significance then there is significanceor significant. The results of the research carried out also show that tastes partially have an effect but are not significant on consumption patterns because the value of t-count < t-table, namely5.241708 > 1.68 and therefore the error probability value (sig) is 0.000000 < 0.05 or away from the real level then there is no significance or not significant. Meanwhile, simultaneously shows that pocket money and tastes affect consumption patterns, so in this study there is an influence between pocket money and tastes on consumption patterns. Based on the regression results, the Adjusted R² value is0.637025 it means that 63.70% of the dependent variable consumption patterns can be explained by the variation of the independent variables pocket money and tastes. While the remaining 36.30% is explained by other things that are not included in the model such as Lifestyle, Price Level, Interest Rate and Socio-Economic. With the results of this study,it is recommended that students be able to allocate pocket money obtained from their parents wisely and for further researchers to be able to conduct research on the same topic by adding indicators that are not included in this study.
