Abstract
The population in this study is 343 employees and its sample is 77 employees. The data are collected by distributing a questionnaire, interview and documentation study. The collected data are analyzed applying the descriptive statistic and inferential statistic, t test and F test. The results of descriptive statistic indicate that the respondents’ perception on leadership is categorized as pretty good (60.48%), peer relationship is good (77.79%), work environment is good (82.40%) and job satisfaction is also good (78.47%). The results of t test show that leadership (4.900, sig. 0.000 < 0.05), peer relationship (4.774, sig. 0.000< 0.05) and work relationship (3.428 sig. 0.001 < 0.05) partially have a positive and significant effect on employees’ job satisfaction. The results of F test show that the three independent variables (39,407, sig 0,000 < 0,05) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employees’ job satisfaction. The results of determination coefficient indicate that the three independent variables contribute 61,8% on the employees’ job satisfaction, while the rest of 38,2% is contributed by other variables excluded in this study. Based on these results, it is recommended to the management of PUPR Office to pay attention more on leadership, peer relationship, and work environment proven to be the influencing factors to the increase or decrease of employees’ job satisfaction.
