Abstract

Thesis title: the effectiveness of the application of role playing techniques through group guidance to increase students' self-confidence. The problems studied can be used, namely (1) why is the role playing technique through group guidance applied to increase students' self confidence? (2) what is the procedure for applying the role playing technique through group guidance to increase students' self-confidence? and (3) is the application of role playing techniques through group guidance effective for increasing students' self-confidence? The objectives are (1) the reasons for applying role playing techniques through group guidance in increasing students' self-confidence, (2) procedures for applying role playing techniques through group guidance in increasing students' self-confidence. and (3) the effectiveness and application of role playing techniques through group guidance in students'selfconfidence tools. This thesis uses a literature study study method. The object of the study is a role playing technique, through group guidance and student selfconfidence. Sources of data used are secondary data sources. The type of data in this thesis is in the form of qualitative data and secondary data. The results of the study show that the role playing technique of group guidance is the right technique to increase students' self-confidence because the goal is to develop the ability to interact with others and encourage students to create their own reality. The role playing technique through group guidance is carried out in four stages, namely the formation stage, transitional stage, activity stage, with pre-determined steps and warm-up, switching players, setting the stage, preparing observers, starting role players, discussion and evaluation, re-role play, second discussion and evaluation, sharing experiences and conclusions and ending stage Role playing technique through effective group guidance to increase student confidence which is proven and articles from previous research that are relevant to the hat of this thesis. Based on the results of this thesis study, the writer gives suggestions to (1) BK teachers to be able to improve skills in applying role playing techniques through group guidance to increase students' self-confidence (2) Writers to be more skilled in applying role playing techniques through group guidance to increase confidence student
