Abstract

Ngada Regency is a district in the central part of the island of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. The district capital is Bajawa. Ngada district itself has a number of interesting tourist objects, one of which is in Riung District, namely Riung Island 17 Marine Park tourism which is a beach tour that is still natural and still maintained its authenticity. The Riung Island 17 Marine Park area has many interesting islands that can attract visitors to visit. This area presents amazing underwater beauty and is a pity to miss. This area can also do snorkeling activities, see other flora and fauna habitats such as various types of ornamental fish, mangroves, barracuda fish, sunu fish, sea gulls, sea roses, komodo dragons. and also thousands of bats. However, the tourist area is still minimal in providing lodging and other tourist accommodation facilities even though this potential will increase the number of tourists who come. So to accommodate tourists who come to Ngada Regency, especially lodging accommodations, a Resort Hotel is needed that is representative of the potential of Ngada Regency and existing beach tourism. The concept of mass management adapted to the theme of transformation can form a space and mass arrangement according to the state of the surrounding environment. The application of the theme of vernacular architectural transformation in the Resort Hotel building is to promote or introduce local architecture to visitors from various outside the Ngada Regency area.
