Abstract
lapis pondasi atas pada jalan, material limestone, batu pecah The base layer material that is commonly used is aggregate so that the foundation layer can also be called the aggregate foundation layer. Aggregate is a hard and compact grained material in the form of crushed stone, gravel, and sand. The aggregate foundation layer consists of 3 (three) classes based on quality, namely class A, Class B, and Class C aggregates. Usually the aggregates used are taken from rivers or from mountains in the form of sand and stones. Aggregate is the main component of the road pavement layer, which contains 90-95% aggregate by weight percentage or 75-85% aggregate by volume percentage, therefore the nature of the aggregate greatly affects the ability of the road pavement. Aggregates to be used in road pavements must meet several predetermined V requirements, so that the resulting pavement structure is strong and stable enough to withstand traffic loads. However, the lack of availability of good topsoil aggregate in region NTT, especially district Rote Ndao, it is necessary to test the existing material in district Rote Ndao to obtain topsoil aggregate material on roads that are suitable for use. The test was carried out onmaterial limestone located on Jln. Civic Center Perkantoran, Lekunik Village, Kec. Lobalain with crushed stone from quarry PT. Tunas Baru Abadi, Nggodimeda Village, Kec. Rote Tengah. From the results of the tests that have been carried out, the mixture of limestone and crushed stone is suitable to be used as the top foundation layer on the road because the test results meet the general specifications of Bina Marga 2018. The test results obtained include 1) the combined gradation analysis meets the required upper and lower limits. , 2) coarse aggregate abrasion of 22.24%, 3) maximum density of 2.15 g/cm3 4) optimum moisture content of 5.41% and 5) immersion CBR value of 93.08%.
