Abstract

“Holism-ecological philosophy is a new idea offered by Frtijof Capra, namely looking at the environment as a whole functional by understanding the interdependence of its parts. The presence of holism-ecological philosophy is also understood as a concept regarding the importance of maintaining the environment in which the pattern of relationships is interrelated so that equality occurs not only at the philosophical level but also at the instrumental level. The presence of holism-ecological philosophy wants to criticize the Cartesian-Newtonian Paradigm which has mistakenly viewed the universe. The Cartesian-Newtonian paradigm sees the universe as a machine that is ready to be exploited for human needs. The universe has no spiritual, purpose, and life in matter. Therefore, taking (damaging) one part of the universe will not affect the dimensions of life and the order of movement of the other universes. Thus, the concept of the Renatus-Newtonian paradigm according to Fritjof Capra needs to be evaluated with a new world concept, namely the philosophy of Ecological Holism. Therefore, the writer tries to criticize the renatus-newtonian paradigm using the holism-ecological philosophy of Fritjof Capra's perspective.”
