Abstract

The difficulty of learning outcomes in the cognitive domain is a person’s inability to remember, understand, apply, analyze, create, and evaluete the material that has been explained. The dimensions of knowledge referred to here are factual, conceptual, procedural, and metakognitif knowledge. This study aims to determine student’s difficulties in working on questions: factual, conceptual, procedural, and metakognitive. This research id descriptive with a qualitative approach. The sample in the study was class VIII E, totaling 30 student’s. The technique of data collection was done by using a test technique in the form of essay questions, totaling 10 questions. The results showed that student’s factual knowledge had an average score of 66 with the category of moderately having difficulty, conceptual knowledge had an average value of 81 with no difficulty category, procedural knowledge had an average value of 26 with very difficult category, and knowledge of metacognitive has an average 47 with the category of having many difficulties.
