Abstract

This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Kupang Timur on the development of teaching materials for students based on whiteboard animation videos on optical instruments based on students who tend to be lazy to read printed books. Students are less interested in reading if the teaching material is thick and unattractive. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and responses of students to teaching materials based on whiteboard animation videos on optical instruments. The method in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data collection instrument used was a material validation sheet to determine certain materials and student responses to determine student responses to whiteboard animation video-based learning materials on optical instruments. Based on the results of data analysis by expert validation, the average result for all aspects is 0.864 with a very decent category. The results of the implementation of students by providing student responses of 93% with a very good category.
