Abstract

This study aims to 1) Knowing the learning outcomes of students' cognitive knowledge of class XI IPA SMA Negeri Benlutu on sound wave material, 2) Knowing the understanding of knowledge skills of class XI IPA SMA Negeri Benlutu students on sound wave material. The type of research used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques by conducting tests. The instrument used in the research is a matter of science process skills test. The research was conducted at Benlutu State High School. The sample used is 32 students. The results of the research conducted show that: (1) the average results of cognitive knowledge in the aspect of proposing a hypothesis are 100 with a very good category, the average value of cognitive learning outcomes in the aspect of the things proposed is 50 and asking questions about 50 poor categories, the average learning outcomes of each student in observing aspects is 25, grouping is 33.33, predicting is 25, planning experiments/research is 33.41, using tools/materials is 33.41, using concepts is 25, communicating is 25 and carrying out experiments is 33.34 with very less category. (2) The level of students' mastery of the science process, namely observing with sufficient criteria, grouping with very good criteria, applying very good criteria, predicting with very few criteria, asking questions with good criteria, submitting proposals with very good criteria, planning experiments with sufficient criteria, using tools and materials with sufficient criteria, using concepts with very good criteria, with very good criteria, carrying out experiments with very good criteria.
