Abstract

The Humusu Oekolo community is a cultured community group. As a cultured society, they "give birth" to the form of culture in the form of material and non-material. One of the non-material cultures that are owned and still practiced today by the people of Humusu Oekolo is the practice of the Hel Keta rite. The Hel Keta rite is essentially a rite of reconciliation that aims to restore relations and interactions, especially marital relations between certain Humusu Oekolo tribes identified by past conflicts and wars. Through myths passed down from generation to generation, it is said that in ancient times the people of Humusu Oekolo lived in exclusive groups. They are closed to each other by maintaining their respective identities. This has led to the creation of disharmony and disharmony in living relations among ethnic groups identified as conflict, violence, and war, especially marital relations that the two tribes should not marry each other. Therefore, in and through the practice of the Hel Keta rite which contains the meaning of reconciliation, all forms of relations and interactions of the Humusu Oekolo community with others, especially marriage relations, relations with nature, as well as relations with the Transcendent which were previously damaged and broken due to sins and mistakes (conflict, violence, and war) in the past can be restored and in the end, they live in peace, prosperity, and harmony for the purpose of living together that is noble and noble.
