Abstract

This research was written by Paulinus Teci (31118059), the development economics study program under the guidance of the first supervisor, Mr. Daniel Taolin, SE, M.Si and the second supervisor, Mrs. Enike Tje Yustin Dima, SE, ME with the research title "Factors Affecting Farmers' Income Rice Fields in Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency". The formulation of the problem in this study 1) how is the effect of capital, selling price, and land area partially on the income of lowland rice farmers in Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency?. 2) How is the picture of the effect of capital, selling price, and land area having a simultaneous effect on the income of lowland rice farmers in Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency?. The purposes of this study are 1) to describe the effect of capital, selling price, and land area partially in Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. 2) to find out the picture of the effect of capital, selling price, and land area have a simultaneous effect on the income of rice farmers in Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. This study uses quantitative data, types of data that are measured or calculated directly, in the form of information or explanations expressed in numbers or in the form of numbers. Sources of data used in this study is primary data is a source of research data obtained directly from the original source (not through intermediaries). There were 40 samples in this study which were then processed using SPSS and analyzed using regression models and inferential statistics with four tests, namely 1) Validity Test, 2) Reliability Test, 3) Classical Assumption Test, and 4) Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. The results obtained from the variables: Capital and Selling Price have a positive and partially significant effect on income and land area has no significant effect on the income of rice farmers in Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. Meanwhile, capital, selling price and land area have a positive and significant effect simultaneously on the income of rice farmers in Noelbaki Village, Kupang Tengah District, Kupang Regency. With the results of the coefficient of determination (R2) which shows the adjusted R square of 0.738, it means that the independent influence (X) on the dependent (Y) is 73.8% while the remaining 26.2% is not influenced by the variables studied or the meaning is another factor. which were not examined in this study.
