Abstract
Indonesia Is An Archipelagic Country And Has A Variety Of Natural Resources. On Each Island, There Are Flora And Fauna, Which Are Indonesia's Natural Wealth. Especially In The Field Of Fauna, Indonesia Has Various Types Of Animals, Both Domestic And Wild Animals. One Type Of Wildlife That Is Experiencing Environmental Stress Is The Estuary Crocodile (Crocodylus Porosus). Various Phenomena Of Estuarine Crocodile Attacks With Humans Are Caused By Activities Using The Same Space, And Occupying The Same Area Or Using The Same Resources, Causing Attacks. From 2011 To 2019 There Was A Attacks Between The Estuary Crocodile (Crocodylus Porosus) And Humans, On Abudenok Beach, Umatoos Village, Malaka Regency And Killed 46 Cases. According To Local Belief, Crocodiles Are Watchdogs As Well As Guardians Of The Sea And Rivers. In Ancient Times Everyone Who Entered The Crocodile Area Had To Ask For Permission. This Is One Of The Local Wisdoms That Has Been Preserved Until Now. The Purpose Of This Study Was To Determine Local Wisdom As An Effort To Overcome The Attack Of The Estuary Crocodile (Crocodylus Porosus) On Abudenok Beach, Umatoos Village, Malaka Regency. This Research Is A Qualitative Descriptive Research Conducted Using Survey And Interview Methods. Based On The Results Of Interviews With The Local Community, Namely Tua Adat, Village Heads And The Community As Many As 27 People, There Are Two Local Wisdoms, Namely The Hamis Batar Ritual And The Hasori Tilun Ritual. These Two Rituals Are Part Of The Community's Culture In Managing Natural Resources Around The Abudenok Beach. The Conclusion Of This Research Is The Local Wisdom Adopted By The People Of The Umatoos Village As An Effort To Overcome The Crocodile Attack On Abudenok Beach, Umatoos Village, Malaka Regency, Namely The Hamis Batar Ritual And The Hasori Tilun Ritual.
