Abstract

This research was written by Maria Afina Setia (3118084). Development Economics study program, Faculty of Economics and Business under the guidance of Supervisor I, Mrs. Dr. M.E.Perseveranda, SE., M. Si and supervisor II Mrs. Enike The Yustin Dima, SE., ME with the research title "Analysis of the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Income of MSME Kiosk Traders in Merdeka Village, Kota Lama District, Kupang City" The formulation of the problem in this study is (1) What is the description of the kiosk merchant business during the Covid-19 pandemic in Merdeka Village?; (2) How much income was the kiosk merchant during the covid-19 pandemic and before the pandemic? The types of data used in this study are qualitative data as well as primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of documentation and interviews. The conclusion of this study is "Analysis of the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on the Income of MSME Kiosk Traders in the Merdeka Village, Kota Lama District, Kupang City." Where the average income before the covid-19 pandemic was Rp. 35,275,000 and the average income during the covid-19 pandemic was Rp. 16,294,000 with a minimum of Rp. 200.00/month and a maximum of Rp. 3,080,000/month. The impact felt by Kiosk MSMEs, both directly and indirectly, experienced a decline in sales, even their income greatly decreased. Efforts to survive during the pandemic by not forgetting government recommendations, such as carrying out any activity that must comply with health protocols, and increasing working hours. Based on these conclusions, the researchers suggest that kiosk traders need to have the latest innovations in order to attract buyers. Traders must also have an effort to maintain their wares and to get more optimal profits and income. With the Efforts discussed above, Kiosk SMEs can increase and survive even in different circumstances than usual
