Abstract
This research is a study of local wisdom owned by the Lamaholot Ethnic Community in Lamapaha Village, Kelubagolit District, East Flores Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to revitalize the traditional ceremony of rejecting bala kolongbeo and to describe the process of its implementation. The theory used in this research is Social Capital. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used were collected both from primary data and secondary data that had been obtained from the field in clear sentences so that they were easy to understand. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the efforts made by internal parties are to strengthen the value of trust, strengthen the network of cooperation, and strengthen the values and norms contained in the kolongbeo ceremony while the efforts made by external parties/government are as facilitators. The Kolongbeo Rejection Traditional Ceremony has several stages of processes and actors in this ceremony including natural signs, preparation stages, implementation processes and symbolic meanings which aim to repel the plague or these calamities back to their original place. The tribes that have the main role are the Lamawuran and Bahi ( Paron Lewun ) tribes. In this context, the Kolongbeo traditional ceremony contains local wisdom, such as media for integration between residents and residents, residents with the natural environment, residents with ancestral spirits and the creator.
