Abstract

The thesis entitled "The Effect of Mastery of Information Technology and Learning Facilities on Teacher Performance at SMK Negeri 4 Kupang with Work Motivation as a Media Variable" was written by Maria Afriana Dominngga, NIM: 8112192013MM, supervised by Dr. Agapitus Hendrikus Kaluge, M.Pd and Dr. Damianus Talok, MA. Teacher performance at SMK Negeri 4 Kupang has not been maximized and is thought to be influenced by work motivation, mastery of information technology, and learning facilities. This study aims to determine: 1) respondents' perceptions of mastery of information technology, learning facilities, work motivation, and teacher performance at SMK Negeri 4 Kupang; 2) the significance of the influence of mastery of information technology on teacher performance; 3) the significance of the effect of learning facilities on teacher performance; 4) the significance of the influence of mastery of information technology on work motivation; 5) the significance of the effect of learning facilities on work motivation; 6) the significance of the effect of work motivation on teacher performance; 7) the significance of the influence of mastery of information technology on teacher performance through work motivation; and 8) the significance of the effect of learning facilities on teacher performance through work motivation. The population in this study were 48 teachers of SMK Negeri 4 Kupang and all of them were taken as samples. Data were collected using a questionnaire, then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (SmartPLS). The results of descriptive statistical analysis show that respondents' perceptions of mastery of information technology are in the good category, learning facilities are good, work motivation is quite good and teacher performance is good. The results of inferential statistical analysis show: 1) mastery of information technology has a significant effect on teacher performance; 2) learning facilities have a significant effect on teacher performance; 3) mastery of information technology has a significant effect on work motivation, 4) learning facilities have a significant effect on work motivation, 5) work motivation has a significant effect on teacher performance; 6) mastery of information technology has a significant effect on teacher performance through work motivation; and 7) learning facilities have a significant effect on teacher performance through work motivation. The coefficient of determination (R) of teacher performance is 0.779, which indicates that 77.9% of teacher performance is influenced by work motivation, mastery of information technology, and learning facilities, and the rest is explained by other variables outside of this study. In addition, the coefficient of determination (R) of work motivation is 0.825, which indicates that 82.5% of work motivation is influenced by mastery of information technology and learning facilities, and the rest is influenced by other variables outside of this study.
