Abstract

This research was written by Melania Fransiska Taneo (3118065) Development Economics Study Program under the guidance of I Mr. Daniel Taolin, SE., M.Si and the guidance of II Mrs. Emiliana Martuti Lawalu, SE, ME with the research title "The Effect of Economic Growth, Minimum Wages, The Unemployment Rate and Inflation on Poverty in Kupang City in 2010-2020. The research problems are (1) What is the Description and Effect of Economic Growth, Minimum Wage, Unemployment Rate and Inflation on Poverty in 2010-2020 in Kupang City, (2) What is Growth Economy, Minimum Wage, Unemployment Rate and Inflation Significantly and Simultaneously Together on Poverty in Kupang City 2010-2020. The aims of this study are (1) to determine the description and influence of economic growth, minimum wages, unemployment and inflation rates on poverty in 2010-2020 in Kupang city, (2) to determine significant and simultaneous economic growth, minimum wages, unemployment and inflation rates. together against Poverty in Kupang City 2010-2020. This study uses quantitative methods that use secondary data. In this study, it was processed using Eviews 9 which was analyzed by Multiple Linear Regression Analysis which consisted of 1) Regression model specifications. 2) Classical Assumption Test, Multicollinearity Test, Autocorrelation Test, Heteroscedasticity Test, and Normality Test 3) Hypothesis Test, which consists of Coefficient of Determination (R-Square), F-Statistic Test, T-Statistic Test (Partial Test). The results showed that an increase in economic growth will reduce poverty in Kupang City, most of the people of Kupang City work in the informal sector which does not depend on the minimum wage, the unemployment rate has a negative and significant influence on poverty in Kupang City and inflation has a positive and significant influence on poverty in the city of Kupang in 2010-2020. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that the government should carry out infrastructure development, and the government should also pay special attention to the poor in terms of livelihoods or employment opportunities so that there is a reduction in poverty levels and to overcome inflation it is necessary to coordinate appropriate policies between the government and as a fiscal policy authority. and Bank Indonesia as the monetary authority.
