Abstract

AC-WC as a wear layer must have sufficient strength or durability to withstand traffic loads as required. One of the aggregate requirements for the AC-WC coating is a rough surface. In the processing process using a stone crusher, sometimes natural aggregates that are still unsolvedor are still as before (round) that pass the filter at the installation are found. Cobblestone without prior processing greatly affects the pavement structure and aggregate quality for use in AC-WC mixtures. From the above problems, a study was onducted which aims to determine the percentage of spherical aggregate at moderate compaction to the durability of worn-ou lastton (AC-WC) which still meets the requirements of the 2018 Highways Spesification revision 2. Using the Marshall method with an estimated pb of 5%, 5,5%, 6%, 6,5% and 7% to obtain KAO for all variations of 6,10% asphalt content. Durability values for each mixture with 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% spherical aggregate percentages for 30 minutes of immersion for all round aggregate percentages were 100%. 24-hour immersion of 92,75%, 91,67%, 89,90% and 88,10%. At 48 hours immersion it was 85,20%, 80,24%, 77,53% and 76,19%. The result of the study show that the addition of round aggregates the meet the requirements of Bina Marga in 2018 revision 2 for all Marshall parameters, namely the addition of 0%-10% aggregate.
