Abstract

SD Inpres Bello is one of the elementary schools located in Bello sub-district, Maulafa district, Kupang City. SD Inpres Bello is one of the schools that has not used information systems in the academic process such as student data, teacher data, and other data. The processing of academic data at SD Inpres Bello is still stored in files in the form of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word without a database which is still fairly simple and has several shortcomings in processing its data. When making data changes, school employees must search one by one for the data until the data is found. This takes quite a long time because of the large amount of data that must be searched. With system conditions like this, there are difficulties in finding data and generating reports. This is because there is no information system that can optimize the use of computer devices. In overcoming the existing problems, an Academic Information System was created at SD Inpres Bello. The model used in designing the system development is the Waterfall Model. The system is designed web-based which is implemented using XAMPP with PHP program language and for databases using MySQL. The results of this study are an academic information system that is able to manage, store data properly and securely, facilitate the process of finding data stored in databases, and can provide output in the form of PDF files.
