Abstract
The Direct instructional model is a model of learning that can help students learn the basic skills and obtain information that can be taught step by step. The main problem in this research is how the results of the application of direct instructional model of motion in the subject matter, learners A class IX SMP Negeri 3 Kupang Barat second semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. Specifically, this research problem are: 1. How is the ability of teachers to manage learning by applying direct instructional model? 2. How completeness indicator of learning outcomes in learning by applying direct instructional model? 3. How does the study of students in learning by applying direct instructional model? 3. How is the response of students to the learning activities by applying direct instructional model? Based on the formulation of the problem above, the general objectives to be achieved in this research is to describe the results of the application of learning models directly the subject matter of the motion on the learner class IX SMP Negeri 3 Kupang Barat second semester of the 2016/2017 academic year. Specifically the purpose of this research are: 1. Describe the teacher's ability to manage learning by applying direct instructional model. 2. Describe the completeness indicator learning outcomes of students in learning by applying direct instructional model. 3. Describe the learning outcomes of students in learning by applying direct instructional model. 4. Describe the response of students to learning by applying direct instructional model. This research is descriptive research subjects students of class IX SMP Negeri 3 Kupang Barat and teachers (researcher). The instrument used in this study is the observation sheet that implements learning management model of direct learning, achievement test and a spreadsheet of responses learners. Data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Data analysis showed that the ability of teachers to manage learning that applying direct instructional model is good with an average score of every aspect, including planning learning 3.73, implementation and evaluation of learning 3.58and3.58 respectly. Six indicators of learning outcomes prepared everything thoroughly with the average proportion of ≥ 0.86, or ≥75%, reaching 0.84. The study of students all completed with an average initial test 0.26 to 0.85 at the end of the test. The response of learners towards learning is very good within the range of 81-100% votes.
