Abstract

The lack of knowledge of the people of Weoe Village about diseases in the form of fungi, bacteria and viruses that attack cassava plants due to the lack of availability of experts or extension experts about cassava plant diseases to farmers and the relatively easy care of cassava plants makes the symptoms and treatment of diseases in cassava not receive more intense attention. compared to other plants. From the existing problems, it is necessary to make a web-based expert system application that can help farmers diagnose diseases in cassava plants. This study uses the Bayes method which can work forward to produce correct decisions and information based on the cause. The application is built using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The result of this study is an expert system that can assist in diagnosing diseases in cassava plants without having to wait for plant experts to arrive. The use of this expert system can assist farmers in diagnosing diseases in cassava plants and can provide information about diseases and symptoms in cassava to avoid the disease.
