Abstract

Pesticides are materials used by farmers to treat, maintain, and eradicate pests and diseases. The selection of the best pesticide in the maintenance of cocoa plants of various types and symptoms for the community, especially cocoa farmers, is very easy. Where the community must be able and more careful in choosing pesticides that are in accordance with the symptoms and diseases of the cocoa plant. Currently, there are many types of pesticides circulating in the market with different brands and qualities, making it difficult for farmers to choose the best pesticide ingredients for maintaining cocoa plants. Therefore we need a system that can help and facilitate the community in choosing the best pesticides, so a decision support system application is made by implementing the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method in selecting the best pesticides for web-based cocoa plant maintenance. This application program uses HTML, PHP and MySQL for the database.
