Abstract

The availability of accommodation in the form of resort hotels is important, especially in tourist areas. The need for supporting facilities related to accommodation is influenced by several things including the location of the site, analysis and field studies regarding the location of the site, as well as the application of themes and concepts that are adapted to the conditions surrounding the hotel resort site environment. The methods in designing resort hotels are field surveys, literature studies and comparative studies with 3 related aspects, namely human aspects, environmental aspects and building aspects. This will result in a product in the form of a hotel resort design that is in accordance with the needs of tourists and the concepts applied. Metaphoric architecture is a type of architecture that provides answers / adaptations of unique building forms. The architectural work in the form of a resort hotel with the theme of Metaphor Architecture will solve the problem of lack of accommodation in the Weri beach area, Larantuka, East Flores because it will highlight unique facades that can attract tourists.
