Abstract

Phrasering is a good and correct sentence so that the song sentence can provide, explain the theme and convey the message of the song being sung. Students of SMP Negeri 1 Keo Tengah have a passion for singing but do not yet have good vocal techniques, especially the phrasering technique. The problem in this study is how the process of applying the phrasering technique of singing Unisono is good and correct in the Hymn Guru song using the drill and imitation method for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Keo Tengah, Nagekeo Regency. The purpose of the research on singing technique learning is to find out and describe the learning of the phrasering technique of singing Unisono which is good and correct in the teacher's hymn using drill and imitation methods for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Keo Tengah, Nagekeo Regency. The type of research approach used is qualitative. The data collection technique used by the researcher is a literature study in the form of data collection techniques obtained from relevant sources or books related to problems and field studies in the form of observations, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the process of applying the phrasering technique to sing unisono is good and correct in the Hymn Guru song using drill and imitation methods for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Keo Tengah, Nagekeo Regency, carried out in three stages. First, the initial stage is the recruitment of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Keo Tengah. Second, the core stage is explaining the material about singing using the phrasering technique followed by etude-etude exercises, notating and reciting the lyrics of the Hymn Guru song. Third, the final stage is the staging of research results. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the imitation and drill method is the right method in learning how to sing the teacher's hymn using the phrasering technique properly and correctly.
