Abstract
Thesis entitled "The Effect of Mastery of Information Technology and Work Skills on Work Performance of State Civil Apparatus at the Oebobo Sub District Office, Kupang City With Work Motivation as a Mediation Variable", by Jon Edward Parulian Purba 8112192012 MM, supervised by Dr. M.E. Perseveranda, SE, M.Si and Angrraeny Paridy, SE, M.Sc. Organizational work performance is inseparable from the work performance of each employee in it. Likewise, the Oebobo Sub-District Office requires employee performance in order to achieve organizational targets. Based on the results of the Main Indicator Achievements throughout 2020 and 2021, it is known that of the 6 Strategic Goals, there are 3 (three) strategic targets that have increased and 3 (three) other activities have decreased. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) Description of work performance, work motivation, mastery of information technology and work skills of State Civil Apparatus at the Oebobo Sub District Office; 2) Significance of the influence of mastery of information technology and work skills on work motivation of the State Civil Apparatus of the Oebobo Sub District Office; 3) The significance of the influence of mastery of information technology, work skills and work motivation on the work performance of the State Civil Apparatus of the Oebobo Sub District Office; 4) Does work motivation mediate the influence of mastery of information technology and work skills on the work performance of the State Civil Apparatus of the Oebobo Sub District Office? This research uses quantitative methods. The research sample was employees at the Oebobo Sub-District Office, amounting to 35 people. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires and analytical techniques using descriptive and inferential statistics using the SmartPLS application. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that all variables were in the good category. The results of inferential statistical analysis show that mastery of information technology and work skills have a significant effect on work motivation. Mastery of information technology, work skills and work motivation have a significant effect on work performance. Work motivation mediates the effect of mastery of information technology and work skills on job performance. The result of the coefficient of determination (R2) states that the contribution of work motivation, mastery of information technology and work skills in explaining work performance is 70.5%, the contribution of mastery of information technology and work skills in explaining work motivation is 92.9%. Based on the results of this study, it can be suggested to the management of the Oebobo sub-district Office to improve work performance, by increasing work motivation, mastery of information technology and work skills.
