Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the comparison and what caused the financial performance of state-owned mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2019-2021 period. State-Owned Companies is one of the important elements belonging to the state that must be considered because it can have an impact on the country's economy. If the performance of State-Owned Companies is good, it will have a good impact on the country's economy, and if the performance of State-Owned Companies is bad, it will also have a bad impact on the economy of the country. The type of data used in this research is quantitative data, which is the type of data that can be measured directly, in the form of information and explanations expressed in numbers or in the form of numbers. The data collection technique used is document study. The research sample used is 3 state-owned mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange on the period of 2019- 2021. The analysis technique in this research uses the Decree of State-Owned Company Minister Number: KEP-100/MBU/2002 about State-Owned Company’s Health Ratio which includes 8 indicators including Return on Equity (ROE), Return On Investment (ROI), Cash Ratio, Current Ratio, Collection Period, Inventory Turnover, Total Asset Turnover, and Total Equity to Total Assets Ratio. The results showed that: (1) PT. Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk. since 2019- 2021 is in a healthy condition even though the value of the performance has decreased in 2020. (2) PT. Aneka Tambang (Persero), Tbk. since 2019-2021 is in a healthy condition with the value of performance always increasing. (3) PT Timah (Persero), Tbk. since 2019-2020 is in an unhealthy condition then in 2021 it is in a healthy condition with the value of performance always increasing. (4) The caused that affects the financial performance of state-owned mining companies listed on the IDX for the 2019-2021 period is Return On Equity (ROE) Ratio, Return On Investment (ROI), Ratio of Owner’s Equity to Total Assets, and Cash Ratio. Based on the results of the study, it is recommended that companies continue to maintain and even improve their existing performance, especially through the policy of increasing Return on Equity (ROE).
