Abstract

The art of music is not a new thing, but has become a part of human life from time to time from prehistoric times to the present, one of which is the popular pianika musical instrument that has been defeated until now and is a melodic musical instrument that is played by blowing. Based on the results of the interviews, the researchers found that most of the students of SMPN 2 Kupang could play the piano, even though they had different abilities, skills, techniques and musical knowledge. That's because the background or learning process is different, both those who study at school, in the neighborhood or are self-taught, therefore students have difficulty going through the lecture process. Therefore, this situation encourages researchers to conduct an action research. Field (PLT) with the title "Efforts to Learn Music of the Pianika Ensemble With the Model of the Song of Cheerful Cheers". The formulation of the research problem is how to introduce the piano ensemble music game to the students of SMPN 2 Kupang, through imitation and drill methods. This study aims to determine the learning process of piano ensemble music for students of SMPN 2 Kupang, through imitation and drill methods. This research is qualitative with field action method. In collecting data, the author uses a literature study technique related to written sources regarding the piano ensemble's music playing. Field studies are closely related to data obtained through observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the imitation and drill method is very effective in learning piano ensemble music at SMPN 2 Kupang students. 3) the tone on the piano tutch, (4) fingering, (5) the effort to learn the music of the piano ensemble.
