Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine whether there is influence of the cooperatif learning type NHT (Numbered Head Together )towards mathematics achievement of high school students. The sample in this study is the X IPA four Tenthgrade students, consisted of27students.The data used in this study are taken from the result of pretestand posttest of the class experientialwith setting interactive learning cooperative. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 22.0 and manual analysis. Prior to testing a hypothesis, a prerequisite test was conducted, which is a normality check for pretest and posttest data. The data obtained from the pretest analysis result was ()andThus H0acceptedand the data were normally distributed. While the data obtained from the posttest was ()andThus H0acceptedand the data were normally distributed. Hypothesis testing using a paired sample test, after the data were analyzed the result was ()and, then H0 is rejected.Therefore it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of cooperativ learning type NHT(Numbered Head Together )on mathematics achievement of seniorhigh school students .The authors suggest for teachers to usecooperativelearningtypeNHTonlearningin theclassroom in accordance with the material to be taught.
