Abstract

Liturgical musical accompaniment is a typical accompaniment for catholics when singing liturgical songs in a celebration of mass. The main objective in this study was to find out and describe the application of basic fingering techniques to the C scale on keyboard instruments through imitation and drill methods with a song model at the level of sorry for the group of young catholics interested in the music of the parish of Saint Simon Peter Tarus. This research uses a quantitative approach and the method used in this study is field action. The data collection techniques used are literature studies and field studies, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. The learning method used in the learning process of liturgical music accompaniment for the OMK group is the imitation and drill method with the intention that the OMK group is able to understand the technique of learning liturgical music accompaniment instruments well. The results of this study show that the learning process of liturgical music accompaniment instruments is carried out in several stages of recruiting OMK members to be the subject of research, the core stage which is the stage where this group is trained in learning learning techniques, etude-etude learning and the final stage where OMK children are directed to display the results of their exercises. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the learning of the technique of fingering instruments accompaniment of liturgical music brought changes to the improvement of the skills of the OMK group of the parish of saint simon petrus tarus region X in playing liturgical musical accompaniment instruments, especially in the technique of fingering. This learning method is expected to help educators in providing material and can also help students to develop their abilities to become a provision of knowledge in the future.
