Abstract

The guitar is one type of musical instrument that is played by picking which is in great demand by students. Guitar playing will not be perfect if you still don't understand how to play the guitar with good and correct techniques. The main problem in this study is how to introduce the technique of plucking Tirando and Apoyando in Guitar Ensemble Games with My Homeland Model Song Using Imitation and Drill Methods for Guitar Interest Students at Budi Dharma Cancar High School, Manggarai. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of Introducing Tirando and Apoyando Plucking Techniques in Guitar Ensembles through Imitation and Drill Methods. This research is qualitative, the research method used is field action. Data collection techniques used literature studies and field studies through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of guitar learning was carried out in 3 stages, namely, the initial stage of recruiting guitar players and determining the practice schedule. The core stage, providing information about the ensemble, the meaning of the song used, the division of musical roles, explaining the tirando and apoyando recitation techniques followed by etude exercises, then participants are guided to play the song part by part which is preceded by an example by the researcher then imitated by students and trained repeatedly -repeat until they are able to play the part well. The final stage of this research is that students present their guitar playing in the form of an ensemble. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Efforts to Introduce the Tirando and Apoyando Plucking Techniques to the Guitar Ensemble With the Song Model Tanah Airku Using Imitation and Drill Methods for Students with Interest in Guitar at SMA Budi Dharma Cancar Manggarai. It works though not perfect.
