Abstract

Tourism vocational graduates are faced with the problems in the aspect of knowledge, skills and attitudes. In the aspect of knowledge is still a lack of knowledge in the field of tourism, especially where - as tourist attractions as well as knowledge of language, while the aspect of skills and attitudes more on grammar and dressed unfavorable way. This led to tourists who come to visit rarely use tour guides Tourism vocational graduates. Multimedia can help in the field of education to facilitate the students understand the material provided because it would be easier if an information is visualized in the form of moving images with lots of effects. The purpose of this application is to generate information with animation techniques easily understood by students / student of SMK Tourism about how to be a good tour guide. Design method used is a multimedia development model with a set of steps that must be followed to produce products such as the design of multimedia applications. The steps in the design method includes: data analysis, determine the design concept, to develop, implement the results of the design, testing and evaluating the results. Applications created using Macromedia Flash is implemented. Based on the results of tests carried out on 11 students, we know the result that students enjoy this application and the application is able to increase children's knowledge about the Tourism vocational school how to be a good tour guide.
