Abstract

Technological advances in the field of informatics very rapidly and need for the field is increasingly perceived by government or private agencies. However, some public and private institutions still have not implemented a computerized data processing system. One of the private institutions that have not implemented data processing system application is department of Informatics Engineering of Widya Mandira Catholic University Kupang. Department of Informatics is one of the existing courses at Informatics Engineering of Widya Mandira Kupang. The problems that exist in the current department is a data processing system which is as simple as using Microsoft Excel. In this case the information retrieval for title of practical work report and title of thesis will be ineffective and inefficient because of clerical Informatics Engineering department is still done manually. This application uses the Waterfall method with the following stages: analysis, design, coding, testing, maintenance and tools used are PHP and MYSQL. The system was built capable of displaying title information, lecturers, examiners and examination dates to the students and also assist administrative employees in processing the data to be more easily, quickly and efficiently.
