Abstract

The shopping area is one of the areas that is a tourist attraction, the Oesapa Corridor shopping area (Best Mart store to Apotek K24) is one of the shopping activity centers located in a densely populated residential area making this location visited by many residents. One of the problems in the Oesapa shopping area is the lack of availability of parking spaces. Parking problems are very important to be studied more deeply, because almost all activities require parking space facilities. because with the greater the volume of traffic that is active either leaving or going to the center of activity, the greater the need for parking space. This study aims to determine the value of the parking index and recommend parking management strategies for each business unit in the corridor shopping area of Jln.Timor Raya Oesaopa. The data used is primary data consisting of the number of vehicles parked and the parking area, while the secondary data used is the minimum SRP standard for each business unit. Based on the analysis and direct observation in the field, it shows that the parking index for 2-wheeled vehicles and 4-wheeled vehicles in each business unit is <1, meaning that parking facilities are not problematic, where the parking space requirement does not exceed the normal capacity or capacity.
