Abstract
This study aims to 1) find out how to increase students' conceptual understanding after using PhET simulation as a virtual practicum on vibration, waves and sound class VIII SMP NEGERI 3 KUPANG, 2) find out how student learning activities after using PhET simulation as virtual practicum in material for vibration, waves and sound for Class VIII SMP NEGERI 3 KUPANG. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Kupang. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with the One-Group Pretest-posttest Design method. The research sample is class VIII C students, totaling 27 students. The data collection technique used a test which amounted to 5 questions and observation techniques. The results showed that students' conceptual understanding increased with a gain score of 0.54 on sufficient criteria and students' learning activities obtained a percentage of 73% with high criteria.
