Abstract

Education in a nation has a very important role for the survival and progress of the nation itself, considering that education is a vehicle for the creation of quality human resources. The quality of education in Indonesia is strongly influenced by 3 factors that affect learning achievement, namely, factors that come from outside students (external factors), factors that come from within students (internal factors) and factors of learning approach. (Priansa 2015:67) Factors that come from from within students, namely interest in learning. Slameto (2010) defines that "interest is a sense of preference and a sense of interest in a thing or activity, without anyone telling". Interest arises on the basis of the individual desire itself. An individual's interest will arise from the activities he has done, so he feels there is interest and pays attention continuously which in the end there is a feeling of pleasure. Discovery learning learning model is a conception that helps teachers relate subject content to the real world and motivates students to make connections between knowledge and its application in everyday life. The purpose of this study is (1) to determine student interest in colloidal material by applying the discovery learning model to students of class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri Makir. (2) To find out student learning outcomes on colloidal material by applying discovery learning learning models to class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri Makir (3) To determine the relationship between learning interest and student learning outcomes in colloidal material by applying discovery learning learning models to class students XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri Makir (4) To determine the effect of interest and student learning outcomes on colloidal material by applying the discovery learning model to class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri Makir. From the data analysis, it can be concluded that the learning interest of class XI science students at SMA Negeri Makir is included in the category of very good learning interests with an average obtained of 81.80 and student learning outcomes are complete by applying the discovery learning model of colloid material to class XI science high school students. Negeri Makir completed year with an overall score (NA) of 82.60 There is a relationship between interest in learning and student learning outcomes in class XI Science at SMA Negeri Makir by applying the discovery learning model of colloidal material with a correlation value obtained of 23.04% There is an influence of interest in learning and student learning outcomes of class XI science SMA Negeri Makir by applying the learning model of discovery learning colloid material shown a simple regression equation Y=49.5305 + 0,41
