Abstract

The interest of the people of the Malacca district in maintaining stray dogs is very high. The mutt is a favorite pet because the mutt can interact with other animals or humans. In addition, the mutt is also quite practical. Prevention and detection of diseases that often attack these dogs requires a veterinarian while the number of veterinarians is limited and does not address the problems of dog owners at the same time, so a system that is able to overcome diseases in mongrels is needed. This system contains the expertise of a veterinarian regarding diseases and symptoms in mongrels. In this study, a web-based implementation was designed using a Certainty Factor Rule Based Reasonaring to ensure that veterinarians in diagnosing web-based diseases have advantages in ease of access and ease of use. The purpose of this research is to make a certainty factor implementation system application in an expert system to diagnose diseases in mutts that are able to identify or diagnose diseases in mongrels. Making this application using the PHP programming language and MYSQL database. This application can also help the public in diagnosing diseases in mutts and can be accessed by users to overcome the problem of the limited number of veterinarians helping the community in diagnosing diseases in mutts.
