Abstract

Guided inquiry approach is a thecnique in the learning process that involves learners in facing a problem directly or teacher intervention. The main purpose of guided inquiry approach is to encourage learners to develop skills to investigate the amount of information in order to solve it in accordance with procedures established teachers so that the conclusions will be quickly and easily retrieved. The main problem in this research is how the result of the application of guided inquiry approach to subject matter of a simple plane on students of class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang semester academic year 2015/2016. Specifically the problem in this research are: 1). How the teacher ability to manage the learning activities subject matter of simple aircraft with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016? 2). How completeness indicators of learning outcomes of students the subject matter of a simple plane with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016? 3). How the thoroughness of the study of students the subject matter of a simple plane with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016? 4). How the response of students to the learning activities of the subject matter of a simple plane with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016? The main goal of this research is to describe the result of the application of guided inquiry approach to the subject matter of a simple plane learner class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang semester academic year 2015/2016. The specific objectives of this study can be described as follows: 1). Describe the ability of teachers to manage the learning activities subject matter of simple aircraft with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016. 2). Describe the completeness indicators of learning outcomes of students the subject matter of a simple plane with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016. 3). Describe the thoroughness of the study of students the subject matter of a simple plane with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016. 4). Describe the response of students to the learning activities of the subject matter of a simple plane with guided inquiry approach to learners class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016. This type of research is descriptive and subjct of this research is the students of class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang academic year 2015/2016 which amounted to 26 people and teachers researchers. Learning device used is the syllabus, Lesson Plan (RPP), students teaching materials (BAPD), worksheets learners (LKPD), Grilles and achievement test (THB). Techniques used to collect data in this research is observation, test and questionnaires. Instrument used in this study was Observation Sheet Learning Management, Test Results Spreadsheet Response Learning and Students. This research data analysis technique is descriptive analysis by calculating the average value, percentage and proportion. Based on the result of the descriptive analysis of research data to say that the application of guided inquiry approach is optimal to the subject matter of a simple plane learner class VIII E SMPK Sta. Theresia Kupang totaling 26 people. Detailed as follows: the ability of teacher to manage the learning activities with guided inquiry approach that includes: instructional planning, implementation and evaluation of learning is both categories. Indicators of learning outcomes prepared everrthing thoroughly. Physics learning outcomes of students in general completed. The response of students to the implementation of learning by applying guided inquiry approach was in the excellent category.
