Abstract

Contextual approach is a learning strategy that emphasizes learning activities that learners are fully, both physically and mentally. Contextual view that learning is not memorization process, but through learning experiences through which learners, they can understand the nature and purpose of learning materials are experienced directly. Classroom learning by applying a contextual rather than as a place to obtain information, but a place to make the process of testing a data and information from experienced learning material learners. The main problem in this research is how the results of the application of the contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester academic year 2015/2016? In detail the problems in this research are: (1) How is the teacher's ability to manage the learning activities by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester academic year 2015/2016? (2) How Learning Outcome Indicators by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester academic year 2015/2016? (3) How does mastery physics learning outcomes of learners by applying the contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester academic year 2015/2016? (4) How is the response of students to the learning activities by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester academic year 2015/2016? The purpose of this study was to describe the results of the application of the contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester 2015/2016 academic year. In detail the purpose of this study were (1) to describe the ability of the teacher to manage the learning activities by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester 2015/2016 academic year; (2) Describe the completeness indicator of learning outcomes by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester 2015/2016 academic year; (3) Describe the learning outcomes of students with applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester 2015/2016 academic year; (4) Describe the response of students to the learning activities by applying a contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang semester 2015/2016 academic year. The study was a descriptive study and research subjects are teachers (researchers) and students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang academic year 2015/2016, amounting to 22 people. Learning device used is students teaching materials, syllabus, lesson plan, worksheets learners, grilles and achievement test. Research data collection techniques are observation, tests and questionnaires. While the instruments used in this study was the observation sheet managing learning by applying contextual approach the subject matter of effort and energy, achievement test (product and authentic assessment) and a spreadsheet of responses learners. This research data analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis by calculating average values, percentages, and proportions. Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis of the data showed that the general application of the contextual approach is good for the subject matter of effort and energy to the students of class XI IPA SMA Sudirman Kupang totaling 22 people. In detail obtained the teacher's ability to manage the learning subject matter physics and Energy Business which includes lesson planning, implementation and evaluation of learning is learning well. Indicators of learning outcomes prepared nine indicators are all finished products. The study of students in a class is said to be due to aspects of the product, authentic assessment and response learners so that the application of contextual approach to the subject matter of effort and energy is good
