Abstract
Panmuti beach is a beach located in the waters of East Nusa Tenggara, especially in the village of Noelbaki , Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The condition of this area is generally flat and sandy and has a sandy and muddy substrate. Until now, it is not know the number and types of gastropods in the intertidal zone of the Panmuti coast. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research with the aim of carryng out the diversity of gastropod species on Panmuti beach to serve as learning media in the form of booklets. The type or research of used is the type of research and development or (R & D). For the determination of gastropod diversity using the quadrant plot method. With data analysis techniques using the Shannon – Wiener diversity index. And booklet development is carried out by design development using the ADDIE model and accompanied by product validation techniques by validators. Based on the results of the study, there were 13 types of gastropods on Panmuti Beach. The most common type of gastropoda found was Certhidea obtusa and the least was Strombus alatus. The results of the analysis of the diversity of the Shannon – wiener index, the highest species was Cerithidea obtusa (-0.33945) and the lowets was lightning shock (-0. 06312). The results of the booklet development design obtained by media expert validators 75% of the final score of 24 points, and validator media 75% of the result score 51 points so that the results of the second validators of the percentage value obtained is 75%, then the book can be categorized as valid and can be used as a learning media. From this study is: (1) That the types of gastropods found on the Panmuti Beach, Noelbaki Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency as many as 13 types of gastropods, namely Cerithidea obtusa, conus striatus,Coralliophila aberraus, Natica vitellus, Nassarius mutabilis, Nassarius dentifer, Nerita plicata, Oliva reticulate, Polinices uber, Pyramideella acus, Strombus labiatus, Strombus alatus , tympanotonos fuscatus. (2)The index of gastropods diversity found on Panmuti beach reaching 2.307364 including in the high category.(3) The development of gastropods diversity booklets is categorized as suitable to be used as learning media.
