Abstract
Research has been carried out on the profile of secondary metabolites in the essential oil of citrus leaves from several types of citrus grown on Timor Island. This study aims to determine the composition of secondary metabolites in the essential oil of citrus leaves from several citrus species grown on Timor Island. The method used to obtain essential oils is steam-water distillation, while the analysis of secondary metabolites uses GC-MS. The results showed secondary metabolites in the essential oil of tangerine leaves (Citrus reticulata Blanco), pomelo/bali orange (Citrus grandis/Citrus maxima), sweet orange (Citrus sinensis), lime (Citrus aurantifolia), and kaffir lime (Citrus hystrix D.C) consists of 41; 40; 46; 33 and 29 types of compounds, with the main compounds in the citrus leaves essential oil from each type of citrus respectively linalool 44,46%,; citronella 32.43%; sabinene 18.78%; citral 21.16%; and citronella 46.08%.
