Abstract

Contextual learning is an approach to learning that facilitate the learning activities of students to search, process, learning experiences that are more concrete (related to life) through the involvement of students in activities to try, do, and experience for yourself to find the meaning of learning. The main problem in this research is how the subject matter of the application of contextual learning on the learner elasticity grade XI Banyan Private School Kupang academic year 2015/2016? Specifically, the problem in this research are: 1) How is the teacher's ability to manage the process of learning physics by applying contextual approach? 2) How completeness Learning Outcome Indicators (product, process, affective and psychomotor) in learning physics by applying contextual approach? 3) How can learning outcomes (product, process, affective and psychomotor) learners in learning physics by applying contextual approach? 4) How is the response of students to the learning process of physics by applying contextual approach? The main objective of this research is to describe the results of a contextual approach to the subject matter of elasticity in grade XI students semester Banyan Private School Kupang academic year 2015/2016. Specifically, the purpose of this study are: 1) Describe the teacher's ability to manage the process of learning physics by applying contextual approach. 2) Describe completeness Learning Outcome Indicators (product, process, affective and psychomotor) in learning physics by applying contextual approach. 3) Describe the learning results (product, process, affective and psychomotor) learners in learning physics by applying contextual approach. 4) Describe the response of students to the learning process of physics by applying contextual approach. This type of research is descriptive. Subjects in this study were the teacher and the class XI IPA didk Private banyan Kupang totaling 13 people. The technique used and the data collection are observation, tests and questionnaires. Learning device used in this study is the Instructional Materials Students, syllabus, lesson plans, Worksheet Students, Sheets Discussion of Students and louvers Test Results Learning. While the instruments used in this study is the Observation Sheet Approach Contextual Learning Management, Test Learning Outcomes of Students, Sheets Aspects (process, affective, psychomotor), and Questionnaire Responses of Students. Data analysis technique of this research is descriptive analysis (calculating the average score, proportion and percentage). Based on the results of descriptive analysis concluded that the application of contextual learning subject matter of elasticity in grade XI students Banyan Private School Kupang 2015/2016 school year is optimal.
