Abstract

Music is a beautiful art and is needed by humans. According to Jamalus (1988), music is a work of sound art in the form of a song or musical composition that expresses the thoughts and feelings of its creation through the elements of music, namely: rhythm, melody, and harmony. In playing music games are also known as ensembles. An ensemble is a game of musical instruments together such as a keyboard, guitar, etc. In this study, the researcher taught the ensemble to play using a guitar. The guitar is a stringed musical instrument that is played by plucking, generally played using the fingers or plectrum. The guitar is made up of a main body part with a solid neck as a place for the strings which generally consists of six strings. In this research, the researcher wants to teach a similar ensemble game using classical guitar which is not yet understood by the students of St. Catholic Junior High School. Xavier Girls class VIII. This is what encourages researchers to be interested in taking the title about: “THE LEARNING OF CLASSICAL GUITAR ENSESMBLE WITH ESKAUBELE SONG THROUGH THE IMITATION AND DRILL METHODS FOR VIII CLASS STUDENTS INTEREST IN GUITAR AT SMPK PUTRI ST. XAVERIUS KEFAMENANU REGENCY OF NORTH CENTRAL TIMOR” This study shows that the process of this activity begins with observation and then continues with the recruitment and determination of the training schedule. In the process of learning to play a similar ensemble musical instrument (guitar). The results of the research, followed by the process of training, presentation to presentation together. Barriers that arise in the research process include fingering, chord transfer, tempo, and also the students' lack of seriousness in seeing the examples of exposure given by the researcher. So that researchers try to overcome the inhibiting factors above by using the imitation method and the drill method in order to achieve effective results during the learning process.
