Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is the influence of using 2D animation in discoveri learning toward mathematics learning achievement of the class X at Seminary St. John Berkhmans Todabelu Mataloko Senior High School academic year 2015/2016 of 20 students. The data used in this study are pretest and posttest of the experimental class using discovery learning. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 23.0. Prior to hypotheses testing, the prerequisite test of normality test for pretest and posttest was conducted. In this case, if the test shows that Dcount ≤ Dtabel, H0 was accepted or the data were normally distributed. If the Dcount > Dtabel, H0 was rejected or the data were not normally distributed. Pretest data analysis shows that Asymp.Sig (2 - tailed) = 0.20 > 0.05 and Dcount = 0,133 ≤ Dtabel = 0.294, so H0 was accepted or the data were normally distributed. Posttest data shows that Asymp.Sig. (2 - tailed) = 0.065 > 0.05 and Dcount = 0.187 ≤ Dtabel = 0.294, so H0 was accepted or data were normally distributed. Hypothesis testing using T test paired-samples after the data was analyzed shows that sig.(2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount = 12.251 > ttable = 2.09302 so H0 was rejected, means that there is significant influence of using 2D animation in discovery learning toward the mathematics achievement of class X at Seminary St. John Berkhmans Todabelu Mataloko Senior High School academic year 2015/2016. Research results shows that the using of 2D animation in discoveri learning positively effect to the mathematics achievement. Therefore, researcher suggests teachers to use 2D animation in discoveri learning of mathematics learning related to the learning material.
